Spring is my favorite time of the year and to "announce" spring are God's flowers. Most of the photographs in this gallery were made at Brigadoon State Nature Preserve in Barren County, KY. I have been honored to be the Preserve Monitor for Brigadoon for the past 8 years, and I think there isn't a prettier place on earth.

Varioius photos from my travels over the past 20+ years throughout the southland. Most of the photos have a story behind them, while some were just photos that caught my eye.

The American Civil War was among the most tragic periods in American history. It lead to the death of between 650,000 to 700,000 Americans and devastation to both northern and southern soil. Visitation to one of the Civil War sites to me is a way to ponder, explore and relive the history of that tragic time. This gallery shows some of the photos from my visits to Civil War sites. Most are straight photos, some are digitally enhanced to express a feeling of that site. All reflect the period of the 1860's.

Photos from my travels of old buildings, bridges, etc. from yesteryear. Each has a story of it's own. Some are still in operation and others are long gone, moved, or just sitting around until they collapse.
